Users with permission to edit framework can manage the subjects and courses designers can choose from when building units.

Subjects:
To edit the list of subjects, find the "Edit Framework" heading on the home page, then look under the "Subjects and Course" sub-heading. Click the "Edit Subjects" link.

You will see displayed a list of subjects that already exist in the Curriculum Framer framework. You can add to the list by entering a subject in the textbox above the list and clicking the "add" button.

If you have permission to delete framework, you can also delete subjects from the list. However, deleting subjects is not recommended as it will orphan units that were created using that subject. It is better to remove the check mark from the check box in front of the subject. By removing the check mark, the subject will no longer appear as an option for designers when they create new units. Units that have already been created will be unaffected.

Courses:
To edit the list of courses, return to the home page and click the "Edit Courses" link. The page will display a drop-down of the existing subjects in the framework. You must first choose a subject to see the courses within that subject.

After choosing the subject, you will see a list of the existing courses within that subject (if any exist). You can add to the list by typing a new course into the textbox above the list and clicking the "add" button. If you have permission to delete framework, you can delete a course. As with subjects, it is better to hide the undesired course by removing the check mark in front of the course name. This will prevent it from appearing in the list of courses presented to users when they create new units.
