When designers create stage 2 assessments and stage 3 events in the advanced template, they are prompted to categorize their elements. By doing this categorization, reports can be generated that detail the type of assessment and instructional strategies being used in a given teacher's classroom.
Users who have permission to edit the framework can add or remove from these category lists. To edit any of the lists, start at the Curriculum Framer home page. Find the "Edit Framework" heading, and then locate the "Element Categories" sub-heading. Click the link that leads to the type of category you wish to edit (Tasks, Other Evidence, or Events).
You will see a list displayed of the existing categories. You can add to the list by entering a new category in the text box above the list and clicking the "add" button.
If you have permission to delete framework, you can delete items on the list. As with all other framework elements, it is inadvisable to delete items since it may affect many units. Rather, the item can be hidden for current use by removing the check mark in the check box preceding the item. This will prevent it from appearing as an option to designers when building their units.
